Klonopin
Klonopin (clonazepam) is specially intended for the treatment of anxiety, seizure disorders or panic disorder. Its effects are based on affecting certain chemicals in the brain restoring their balance. This medicine is intended for short-term treatment (up to 9 weeks) and is not supposed to be taken for longer than that to avoid developing an addiction. Problems with coordination, dizziness, frequent urination, changes in sex drive, increased saliva, drowsiness, joint pain, unsteadiness, and blurred vision are some of most common mild side effects that you may experience. They are usually short-lived and you can continue with your treatment if you get them. Changes in mental health have been reported in a small number of people taking this medication. You will need to discuss your treatment with your doctor and compare the benefits of the treatment with possible risks. The following psychological problems are rare but need to be watched for carefully: anxiety, suicidal thoughts, violent behavior, panic attacks, depression, restlessness, agitation, difficulty falling or staying, worsening irritability, and unusual changes in behavior. If anything is not clear about your treatment or the dose you are prescribed, please contact your health care provider or read the label carefully.
